Dr. Rockwood is married to his wife Jenny Richards and together they have 4 amazing children, and the best son-in-law they could ask for. He is the proud grandfather to his amazing Liam Packer. They have lived in many places through the years but the children would claim to be from Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Dr. Rockwood practiced for nearly twelve years. Most recently living in Twin Falls, Idaho before relocating to the majestic mountains of the Wasatch.
Dr. Rockwood grew up at the base of the Cascade Mountains in the town of Lake Oswego, Oregon. He is a proud alumnus of Lakeridge High School, the home of the Pacers. He participated in many different sports growing up, taking all-state honors in Football and winning a State Championship in 1988.
Dr. Rockwood served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Antofagasta, Chile. He attended Ricks College and played football there before his mission. He met is sweetheart, a fellow teacher, while teaching at the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah. He finished is undergraduate education at Brigham Young University. After being married they have lived in Oakland, CA-New Haven, CT-Miami, FL-Kalispell, MT-Santa Fe, NM-Twin Falls, ID.
Dr. Rockwood is passionate about enjoying the outdoors and has developed a love for fly fishing. Learning on the Pecos River in New Mexico, it has turned into an obsession and keeps him in motion in the Wasatch! Other important activities that he loves to enjoy with kids and family are golf and skiing.

Kurgan, Russia: Dr. Rockwood completed a fellowship at the internationally renowned Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics.
Offenburg, Germany: Dr. Rockwood worked with Prof. J. Rudigier on the ESKA Total Ankle Implant System.
Guatemala City, Guatemala: Dr. Rockwood performed and assisted in pediatric deformity surgery on children from the region, Healing the Children Project.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: Dr. Rockwood is the Co-founder of The Steps of Life Foundation and establish training and surgical procedures for advance adult and pediatric deformities using circular fixation with his mentor, Dr. Luis Marin.
Buenos Aires, Argentina: Dr. Rockwood worked with Dr. Mark Feldman training and performing surgery with orthopedic surgeons in Argentina using the Buechal-Pappas Total Ankle Replacement implant.
Merida and Progresso, Mexico: Dr. Rockwood was a resident surgeon for multiple missions with the Yucatan Crippled Children's Project,
